Musical Maths and English: A Creative Workshop

This fun and creative workshop brings music to Key Stage 2 pupils’ understanding of maths and English. This two-and-a-half-hour workshop is suitable for children going into Years 3-5 this September.  This workshop makes maths attractive to creative minds by focusing on teaching fractions, time, division and ordering and numbering in creative ways. With poetry being a large component of the GCSE, it also teaches rhyme and rhythm, vocabulary building, language techniques and creative writing through songwriting, singing and drumming. In addition, attendees will also learn basic skills in musical notation and improve their skills in self-expression, imagining and working in teams.

I have a ABRSM Grade 8 in Singing and Grade 5 in Music Theory and play ukulele and cajón (a peruvian drum). I also tutor primary maths and English at The Tuition Pod, have a PGCE and PhD and am a  transformational coach.

This workshop only has a very limited number of places, so make sure to book well in advance.
